Results from the annual Disability Equality Index reveal 126 companies truly prioritizing the inclusion of people with disabilities and honored as the “Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion”. Participants – Fortune 1000 corporations and Am Law 100 – are leaders across twenty-five unique business sectors with a significant global presence of over 7.8 million employees.
Getting to Equal: The Disability Inclusion Advantage
Companies that embrace best practices for employing and supporting more persons with disabilities in their workforce have outperformed their peers, according to new research from Accenture in partnership with Disability:IN and the American Association of People with Disabilities. The 45 companies that Accenture identified as standing out for their leadership in areas specific to disability employment and inclusion had, on average over the four-year period, 28 percent higher revenue, double the net income, and 30 percent higher economic profit margins than their peers.
