Civic Engagement Manager

Dewayne Johnson (he/they) is Civic Engagement Manager at AAPD. In this role, he oversees and manages AAPD’s programs and initiatives to build the power of the disability vote and increase civic engagement in the disability community. Prior to joining AAPD, Dewayne served as a Campaign Director for the Color Of Change within the Government Affairs & Policy Department. Over the past ten years, Dewayne has worked for leading national and local organizations advancing equality, including the Human Rights Campaign, American Civil Liberties Union, Southern Poverty Law Center, and others. Dewayne is an alumnus of Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University.
